From Training to Tastings: Ecceamerica Strengthens Its Presence on the West Coast

New promotional activities aimed directly at consumers and industry professionals are kicking off in California, Arizona, and Nevada: tastings and educational sessions dedicated to the quality of European organic products

September 21, 2026 – After two years of activities focused primarily on the East Coast, Ecceamerica is expanding its presence in the United States with a new program of initiatives aimed directly at restaurants and retail outlets on the West Coast. While the project had already reached the West Coast in previous years through seminars for industry professionals, this year’s promotional activities are extending for the first time to restaurants and retail outlets, establishing direct contact with consumers and food enthusiasts.

The West Coast—and California in particular—represents a strategic market for promoting European agri-food products: a dynamic and international market that places particular emphasis on quality, sustainability, and new food trends. It is within this context that Ecceamerica brings the expertise and culture of European organic extra virgin olive oil and organic wine to the forefront through tasting events and product education.

Promoted by Unaprol – Italian Olive Consortium and the Confederação dos Agricultores de Portugal (CAP), and co-financed by the European Union under Regulation (EU) No. 1144/2014, Ecceamerica is a three-year promotional program targeting the U.S. and Canadian markets, with the goal of strengthening the competitiveness of European agricultural products and increasing awareness and recognition of European organic extra virgin olive oil and wine.

Starting today, the activities will involve a selection of restaurants and retail outlets in California, Arizona, and Nevada. The organic EVO oil tastings will offer participants the opportunity to learn more about the product’s characteristics, exploring its organoleptic properties, quality, and sensory characteristics, as well as aspects related to organic production. This is an opportunity to learn how to recognize scents, aromas, and flavors and to discover the value of EVO oil within European gastronomic culture.
